Pharma Leads as Realty Cools, IT and Auto Show Fresh Strength

Nifty 50 (INDEXNSE:NIFTY_50) closed at 24,570.65, and sector rotation continues to favor a select group even as the index holds its recovery. Leadership has shifted somewhat from recent weeks, Pharma now sits clearly ahead of Realty, which has cooled to the weaker end of the leader pack.

Pharma is confirming genuine strength this week, while Realty, still positive, has faded enough that it’s no longer the standout it was in prior weeks. That kind of internal reshuffling within the leadership group is worth tracking closely.

Pharma

INDEXNSE:NIFTY_PHARMA is at 26,541.8, up 3.38% over the past month. The three and six month trend remains strong and relative strength versus Nifty has stayed firmly positive throughout, with the longer six month window particularly robust. This looks like continued, confirmed leadership rather than a sector running out of steam.

Realty

INDEXNSE:NIFTY_REALTY is at 885.95, down 5.61% over the past month, though the three and six month trend remains positive and relative strength versus Nifty is still holding up over the medium term. The one month softness is the clearest signal here, this sector has gone from clear leader to something closer to the middle of the pack, and it’s worth watching whether it stabilizes or continues to fade.

IT

INDEXNSE:NIFTY_IT is at 31,547.7, up 12.63% over the past month, the strongest one month number on the board. The three month trend also confirms this move, though the six month window remains deeply negative, so this is a sector still climbing out of a hole rather than one with a fully repaired trend. Relative strength versus Nifty has turned sharply positive over the last month, worth watching whether this can build into something more durable.

Auto

INDEXNSE:NIFTY_AUTO is at 29,647.9, up 10.38% over the past month, with the three and six month trend also confirming genuine strength across every window. Relative strength versus Nifty has been consistently positive, and this is the kind of layered, multi-timeframe strength that tends to be more durable than a single sharp move.

Bottom line: Pharma remains the clearest confirmed leader this week, while Realty has cooled enough to fall out of the top tier after leading in recent weeks. IT and Auto are the notable movers, IT with a sharp one month recovery still working against a weak longer-term trend, and Auto showing the more complete, multi-timeframe strength. For swing traders, Pharma and Auto currently offer the cleanest trend backdrops, while Realty and IT both need closer scrutiny before assuming their recent moves extend further.
